The company was established in Sydney over thirty years ago by one of the present directors of the group. The original aims of the company were to provide cost effective public address systems, predominantly for schools and churches. These aims were met through sales, hire and installation of value-for-money equipment.

Soon after its inception, the company saw a need for products in several niche markets. A step forward into manufacturing was taken to complement the expanding sales and rental operations.

Today Creative Audio is also involved in the development of project specific engineering solutions for clients such as the Sydney Opera House and Stadium Australia. These solutions are then re-engineered to form the basis of a range of innovative and exciting products.

The company has comprehensive in-house electronics prototyping and project assembly facilities, as well as ancillary facilities for wood and metal work fabrication and finishing. Product manufacturing is carefully managed by Creative Audio using outsourced specialists both within Australia and offshore.

Creative Audio's products are designed and developed by a team of experienced engineers using CAD CAE and CAM techniques extensively.

Research is undertaken in aspects of analog and digital electronics relating to audio and communications. The engineering team also tackle contract research and product development projects and provide a communications electronics engineering consultancy service to industry and other consultants in parallel disciplines.

Members of the engineering team are experienced with analog and digital circuit design, professional audio and video systems engineering, RF communications, microprocessor circuit design and software development, digital signal processing and many other allied fields.
