Like many people in this industry, Kiley's interest in audio grew out of playing in bands
during college. He spent a lot of time in the university recording studio learning all he
could about recording and mixing music and eventually received a degree in communications.
After college, Kiley lived in San Francisco and worked for one of the largest AV rental and
staging companies on the West coast for five years, learning everything about the real life
application of live sound reinforcement systems. Kiley's next position was as the in-house AV
director for a large government facility, followed by working for a manufacturer in the
installed sound side of the industry.
In 2001, the Henners moved to Portland, OR and Kiley joined Biamp Systems. Kiley says,
“I really enjoy helping our customers get the most out of our equipment and their
designs.” When Kiley is not at Biamp, he and his wife spend a lot of time chasing
after their preschool son and rehabbing their home.
Chris Flanagan joined the Technical Support department at Biamp Systems Inc.
in November 2004. Two years later, in October 2006, he relocated to North Carolina
to open and operate Biamp’s new East Coast Regional Support Office. His hours of
operation will be 8am – 5pm Eastern Time, effectively adding three hours to our
support line services, fielding calls from around the world.
Prior to Biamp, Chris worked for an AV systems integrator as a design engineer/installation
manager for 2.5 years, where he developed a passion for quality sound in fixed installation systems.
Chris graduated from the University of Utah in 2001 with a BS in Mechanical Engineering.
While earning his degree, he worked in the networking and infrastructure wiring industry
developing his knowledge of networks and wiring techniques and standards.
When he’s not problem solving for Biamp customers, Chris expects to spend
time exploring the beauty and history of North Carolina with his wife and 3 sons.
Michael Erwin has over 8 years of experience in the professional audio industry
and has been a member of the Technical Support Team at Biamp Systems since February
2005. Prior to joining Biamp, Michael worked for two other world-renowned
manufacturers of professional audio equipment, first as product development engineer
and later as product manager/sales engineer.
Michael's long-time passion for music and sound reproduction led him to obtain an
electrical engineering degree from West Virginia University Institute of Technology
in 1996. He also did graduate work at Ohio University, where he studied acoustical
properties of traffic noise barriers and environmental noise impact of common
transportation systems.
Outside the office, Michael enjoys playing and performing music with a local band,
exploring the outdoors and enjoying urban life around his Portland home.

Zach’s intrigue with systems design started, like many others, with playing in a local band. After he realized that would not effectively “pay the bills,” he moved from Iowa to attend Columbia College Chicago. From here he received a Bachelor’s degree with a double concentration in Systems Contracting and Live Sound Reinforcement.
Prior to joining Biamp, Zach spent eight years working for an audio/video integrator, designing and commissioning systems. The wide variety of clientele he worked with gave him the opportunity to learn the requirements of many types of system design – from small churches to large venue theaters, nightclubs to boardrooms. This real world experience allows him to aid our customers past the software functions of Audia and Nexia and into the integration of our systems with complete projects.
Zach Snook joined the Biamp Applications Engineering Staff in April of 2008 after relocating to Portland from Chicago. Zach is very excited to be part of the team at Biamp and is looking forward to maintaining the high standards of tech support that Biamp customers have come to expect.
Dane’s passion for all things audio started at an early age. A journey that began with Fisher-Price® Toys has evolved into a lifetime career in the audio/visual industry.
He started his career in Sydney, working for a leading production company. There he had 360 degree exposure to everything from quoting on the job right through to operating at the event. Having built his skill set in production, it wasn’t too long before he landed a job at one of Australia’s leading integrators. In this role he participated in training, servicing and installations, and gained experience in all facets of the business. Although a rewarding and educational experience, his true passion remained in audio. So when an opportunity came to join Biamp in Brisbane, he didn’t hesitate. “I wanted to work with a premier audio manufacturer and Biamp is world renowned in this industry.”
Dane has relocated from Sydney and is now providing service and support to Biamp customers out of our new Brisbane office. He is excited about this new role, “I hope to leverage my experience as both an end user of Biamp products and as an integrator, to help Biamp customers achieve the best results possible.”
Sam has over 5 years of experience
in network and audio engineering. He began his audio career as a DJ for several clubs in the Brisbane area.
Sam then moved to New Zealand and joined Tranzscript, an A/V integrator specializing in courtroom installations.
Based on his client-centric approach, he was chosen as the project manager for a major analog to digital recording
conversion project in Dublin, Ireland. Sam also provided training on new audio technologies and network infrastructure during the project.
"Upon returning to Australia I started
looking for a company of whom I wanted to be a part of, not just for an employer. After experiencing first
hand Biamp's reputation and support I knew this was the company for me," said Sam. He really enjoys being "part
of an industry where there's always something new and working with Biamp has provided me the opportunity
to train, support and develop the latest, cutting edge audio platforms."
Sam enjoys all things outdoors, especially the beach, the rainforest, music festivals, fishing and travelling. He's also researching what
it takes to be a driver in a demolition derby (we're hoping a helmet is on the list).
Like so many Biamp employees, Scott Wieser shares a love for music. At age 5, he started playing the piano. By fourth grade, he began playing the drums. His passion for music carried on through college, where Scott earned two bachelor degrees from the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore: a Bachelor of Arts in Recording Arts & Science and a Bachelor of Music in Percussion Performance. He concentrated on classical and jazz music genres during college, but also enjoys other types of music, such as electronic.
Scott joined the Applications Engineering department at Biamp Systems in January 2010. With over 7 years of experience in the professional audio industry, he brings extensive experience with DSP programming, AV systems integration and IT systems. Scott relocated to Biamp's corporate headquarters in Beaverton, OR from Baltimore, MD and is most excited to continue his work with DSP system design, his favorite aspect of the professional audio industry.
Kane joined Biamp Systems' Applications Engineering department in February 2010 after relocating from Toronto to Hong Kong. Kane brings 12 years of extensive experience in the AV industry. He specializes in DSP programming, and has extensive experience working with all kinds of audiovisual systems, including projects that feature products from Polycom and Tandberg video conferencing configurations. Factor in his previous experience in the Asian region, he brings a wealth of technical consultation and expertise to his new role at Biamp.
In addition to academics, throughout university Kane was really involved in music, playing the trumpet, guitar and drums, which was how he first became interested in the audiovisual industry.
Kane enjoys staying on top of current and emerging trends in technology; he is looking forward to providing quality technical support for Biamp's customers.
